Today I’m featuring sketch #3 from the sketches on page 22 of our Annual Catalog which looks something like this (Mine is not to scale.)
I started with our gorgeous Season of Elegance Specialty Paper and built my card around it. I knew I wanted to use the pretty peacock version, so I cut my three strips into 1 x 4¼” and got started.
I chose a pretty peacock card base. I laid all of my pieces on top of the base without adhering them, so I could decide where my ribbon would go. Then I used the Sweetest Star punch to put a notch along the fold where I wanted to string my ribbon.
I just tucked the tip of the point in and punched!
Viola! Instant notch 😉 Then I adhered my Season of Elegance strips.
I die cut one of the labels from the Christmas Labels bundle and cut a strip of Basic White to fit across it. I heat embossed the sentiment using versamark and gold powder on the strip then adhered it to the Pretty Peacock label and popped the whole thing up on dimensionals over the ribbon.
I chose another sentiment from Christmas Labels for inside the card, and it was finished. Easy & Elegant! I really love that Stampin’ Up! has provided us with these sketches all in one place. It sure helps when you’re short on time or simply have a creative block!
I hope you enjoyed my card share today.
