I share my passion for stamps, ink & paper with a special flock of ladies called the “Stampin’ Stray Ducklings”. Whenever we’re together, feathers fly because of all the fun we have! Today, my feathered (or notsomuch! LOL) friends & I are featuring items in the new 2024-2025 annual catalog.
I chose my card today to honor my wonderful Stray Ducklings friends. They have been a significant part of my Stampin’ Up journey and I’m not sure I’d still be involved today if it wasn’t for them. They are an amazing group of women whom I cherish. <3 When I first saw the Lily Pond Lane suite, I knew immediately that I had to have it to honor my friends. I’ll admit, I only have the paper -right now. The rest will be in my shopping card soon 😉 We can’t buy everything all at once, can we? Well, I shouldn’t! LOL
So, I chose to make another pop-up card like the one I featured just a few days ago. You can see it by CLICKING HERE. The cards are opposite in orientation, so it’ll work either way. I LOVE this fun fold. It’s as easy as it gets to make! Follow along and I’ll show you how.
Starting to open above.
And, all the way open. One of the things I love most about this fold is that the main image carries over to the inside this way.
The mechanism is super simple. It’s a 1×5 piece of cardstock (I like to match my layer inside, hence the white) score at 1¼, 2½ and 3¾. I add Tear n Tape to the last section.
then I fold it in half with the Tear Tape on the bottom
I match up just shy of the score line (which I didn’t do well here-I’m going to blame it on my poor lighting this morning!) 😉
Because there’s only a small section between my cutout and the fold to adhere the strip to, I used just a thin line of Multipurpose glue.
Then I shut the card and pressed down while it dried to ensure good adhesion to that small front section.
I added 2 strips of Tear Tape to the second section ONLY of my mechanism. Then you just Peel off the Tear n Tape covers and place your focal image back inside the space. Easy peasy, right?
Ta Da!!!!
Awesome, isn’t it?
Please waddle along with the rest of my Duckling friends.
