Hello there! Happy FriYAY! Do you have big plans for the weekend? I will be playing with stamps, ink and cardstock. š I have a class scheduled for Tuesday, but I have no cards designed for it – yet š Guess what’s on my agenda today? LOL! That is the hardest part of holding classes for me. I don’t like to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) other’s designs. I like my class cards to be my original design. That makes it difficult for me as I’m an overthinker. I’m constantly looking at cards to get inspiration then trying to come up with a Kim Baker original. It’s tough livin’ in my head y’all! LOL! š
Anyhow, enough yappin’, let’s get to today’s Summer vibe card. I LOVE all the beach elements in this set. There are 21 dies and 14 stamps in this bundle! Just think of all the possibilities!

I started by die cutting a circle in a scrap piece of paper using my Stylish Shapes die cuts to use as a mask for my sun.

I cut a 4×5Ā¼ piece of Pool Party cardstock and inked the sun using Crushed Curry ink, my Blending Brush and the die-cut mask. I die cut the waves, backed them with white cardstock then tore strips of crumb cake and inked the little sand images on them using Basic Beige and Crumb Cake inks. I glued them to the bottom of the card front in layers by only placing glue towards the bottom of the strips since I knew I was going to tuck the surf boards and palm tree behind the torn strip. The surfboards were stamped in Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight and Real Red on corresponding cardstock then die cut.

A little stamping inside and it was finished.
That’s it for me today. I hope you get to spend some time in your creative space this weekend!
