Hello. I hope you all had a nice Christmas. We did. We saw family on Christmas Eve but Christmas Day was quiet. I’ve been busy planning my classes for January, however, we have one more celebration to go. We host New Years so this coming weekend will be filled with family friends and fun 🙂
Today I want to share some simple cards that I made as a gift for the local Wildlife Rescue- 2nd Hand Ranch. They have all kinds of animals- foxes, raccoons, opossums, horses, donkeys, goats and so much more, but one of their most popular residents is a beaver, Maple, who lives in the house with them. I am just fascinated by her and the fact that she lives inside a house with humans, LOL. When I saw the Fluffiest Friends Bundle. I knew I had to make the rescue some thank you cards to use for the business. I didn’t go crazy with lots of layers and embellishments because I wanted them to be able to mail them with no extra postage (we all know how expensive postage has gotten!)

Quick and simple right? I started with a strip of DSP then I stamped a pile of sticks and a sentiment using Crumb Cake ink to the card front. I made the stick pile by stamping the bird’s nest upside down twice. I stamped Maple in Tuxedo Memento Black ink onto Basic White cardstock then colored her using my Pecan Pie, Deep 100, Petal Pink and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. Then I die-cut her out. I layered vellum on a Poppy Parade Deckled Circle die cut then propped Maple up on top of the Vellum using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a little image of her face and upper body in the bottom corner inside the card.

I added all 10 cards to a plastic box I bought on Amazon.

And they were ready to send along with my cash donation to the rescue. 🙂
This Fluffiest Friends set is just adorable! I’m having lots of fun with it. I think you would too!
