Eat, Shriek & Be Scary Bag of Bones Envelope Card with Measurements

Are you a Halloween person? I think it’s pretty divided amongst people. I like Halloween, but I don’t like the evil, gory stuff. That’s why I’m happy that Stampin’ Up! makes cheery Halloween sets every year. The Them Bones suite is so much fun with its whimsical skeletons and cute bats & ghosts. Aaaaand, there’s a surprise in this suite, but you have to scroll to the last pic to see it… 😉

Today’s card is a simple fun-fold. I call it an envelope card.

The “envelope flap” tucks in right behind the dog’s nose and the skeleton’s hand. When you open it you can see the other side of the fun Them Bones Designer Series paper- little tomstones that can be cut out. I believe one of them matches one of the die cuts in the set. The DSP strip on the front behind the sentiment is also from the Them Bones paper 🙂

Look at that fun font inside! I love it, and oh my goodness, I just adore those little bats!!! I see me using them a lot in the near future 😉

Annnnd, I told you there was a surprise…check it out…. Glow-In-The-Dark!!!!

Squeal!!! How much stinkin’ fun is that?! 🙂 I cut the moon out of the glow-in-the-dark paper. The ghost and bat are pre-made embellishments. BOO!

Hehehe! It doesn’t take much to amuse me 😉

As promised, I have quick & simple measurements so that you can make this card too.

Basic Black: 4¼ x 5½
Pumpkin Pie: 5¼ x 8 scored @ 4″
DSP: 3¾ x 3¾ scored on the diagonal

And that’s it! You just glue the back half of the square that’s scored on the diagonal to the back of the opening side of the card before you glue it to the Basic Black card base.

Easy Peasy, right?
