Sketching with Friends #21 from Page 22 of Stampin’ Up’s Annual Catalog

Hello there and Happy St. Paddy’s Day! Welcome to our #21st Episode of Sketching with Friends. Today we’re featuring Sketch 21 on page 22 of Stampin’ Up’s Annual Catalog. Every week I post the sketch in my VIP group and whomever would like to play along submits their card to be featured on my blog. Here is our sketch.

Using my Cute As Can Bee Designer Series Paper, I cut 2 of the smallest hexagons with the Meant to Bee dies. I got out my Choose Happy Stamp set (I just love all of the small images in that set!) and stamped the cute li’l bee in Petunia Pop ink randomly on the card base. I added a piece of pool party cardstock in the center then adhered the hexagons on top of it. I used the Bee Happy saying from the Choose happy set, stamped it in Tuxedo Memento black then added a piece of Petunia Pop to the back of it. I folded up a section of Pretty in Pink ribbon behind it and stuck it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the cute bees again but this time in Tuxedo Memento black ink on a panel of Basic White then colored them with my dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends marker. I adhered that inside and I have plenty of room to write a message to my recipient.

I couldn’t stop stamping the adorable bees so there are even some on the back of the card 🙂 🐝
