Hello there! I hope this day finds you well. It’s GORGEOUS in Illinois today! I’m heading outside shortly to pick up sticks before I have to mow. We had a fabulous card-making class yesterday. This is one of the cards we made. I CASEd it from Tina Wardell, but I changed some things and made it into a fun fold 😉 Isn’t it cute???!!! That li’l rhino is so adorable! Pairing it with the Like An Animal Specialty paper (on sale for $10.50 right now!) made it even better, imho!
To make the easel, I just scored from top right to bottom left on the front of the card base. I put glue only on the bottom triangle as seen below.
I took a panel of 4¼ x 5½ Basic White CS and glued it on top of the part you see above, laying it squarely and flat with the card base. Then I added a piece of 4×5¼ Smoky Slate CS on top. The Like An Animal DSP is 2×5¼. The rhino was stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with Smoky Slate Blends then punched out with our Decorative Circle punch and adhered with dimensionals.
I added Basic Pearls (on sale for $3 right now!) colored with the Smoky Slate blends to the front too.
I die cut leaves from the Rhino Ready dies in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent CS and propped them up on the inside in order to hold the card open when it’s propped.
Easy Peasy, right?
I hope you give this fun fold a try it’s really….. uhhhhh FUN! 😉
HAPPY STAMPING!
