I share my passion for stamps, ink & paper with a special flock of ladies called the “Stampin’ Stray Ducklings”. Whenever we’re together, feathers fly because of all the fun we have! Today, my feathered (or notsomuch! LOL) friends & I are featuring techniques. Come on in and join us. I chose to do the “White-Washing Technique.”
I chose to break out my Country Flowers bundle and focus on the li’l stool.

I just added a drop of Craft ink from my refill bottle onto an acrylic block then used my water painting brush to spread it around on the block. Using minimal water from the inside the brush, I lightly brushed the watered-down craft ink onto the stool to give it a chalk-like look.

I stamped the big tin milk can with Smoky Slate ink then colored it with Smoky Slate and Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends. I also stamped the flowers in Smoky Slate then colored them with Pool Party and Petal Pink blends. I die cut all 3 images out plus some flowers and leaves in pool party and petal pink cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and fussy cut around it with my snips. Then I layered all items as you see here on a 5½ x 7½ piece of Pebbled Path and scored it at 3¼. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the flowers and the sentiment to give them some depth.

Inside sports a piece of 3 x 5½ Basic White with the sending love sentiment stamped in Early Espresso plus a piece of that Gorgeous Country Woods DSP measuring 1 x 5½. I finished the card off by adding three Petal Pink foiled gems to the front.
I can’t wait to see what Technique the rest of my friends are featuring. Please “waddle” along with the hop by clicking on the next link.
