March 2023 We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop Everything is Coming Up Green

Hello there! The We Bee Stamping Team is excited to bring you more inspiration through our monthly Blog Hop. This month our theme is Everything is Coming Up Green. I’m sure most people think flowers when they think about that theme. Me? No. My brain went right to cute li’l leprechauns and how I was going to make them. I am simply in love with our Gnome dies. Those li’l gnomes are SO CUTE! So, I made one with a green hat and an orange beard. Et Voila! Leprechaun! Teehee!

My leprechaun needed a home, so I made him one with the dies too. I cut out 2 mushrooms and snipped the bottom off the Soft Suede one then ran that top through “Big Bossy” (my big Cut & Emboss machine 😉 ) using the Timeworn Type embossing folder.  I made a door by using the tip of a gnome hat 😉 I brushed balmy blue & pear pizzazz on a basic white panel with blending brushes and adhered the gnome home to it. The small mushrooms and the grass are all from the gnome dies as well. I just flipped one of the pieces of grass over.

The sentiment is from the Sending Smiles bundle & the DSP is from the Flowers & More host pack. This card fold is called a “Faux Side Step”. I’ll post the base measurements below.

The embellishments are the Brushed Metallic Dots. A leprechaun needs his gold, right?

A DSP strip and another “shroomy” on the back and we are done! Side note and fun fact about me that most of you probably don’t know… I love to mushroom hunt. Probably because it involves nature and hiking. I hunt morels. They’re pretty popular here in Illinois. I’m not good at it, but it sure is fun when you find them! 😉

As promised, here are my Card Base & DSP measurements:

Cardstock: 5½” x 8″ scored at 3, 6 & 7 on the long side

3″x6″ scored at 4¼ & 5½ on the long side

DSP: 2¾” x 5¼” and ¾” x 5¼”

Basic White: 2¾” x 5¼” and 2¾” x 3″
