Hello there. Today I’d like to share a fancy fold card that I made for a challenge from my Upline, Linda Bauwin. From the moment I saw the Hearts & Hugs stamp set, this card has been in my head. Check it out.
So, the parameters that Linda gave us were that we could only use items in the new catalog- no Online Exclusives whatsoever. That threw a big Monkey Wrench in my plan! LOL. I really wanted to use the Deckled Rectangles and the Everyday details dies, but I couldn’t, as you’ll see in the video. Onto Plan B! The other difficulty I had to navigate was that my 12×12 paper options were sorely lacking! I had to make due with 8½ x 11 which was difficult considering the exact measurements I wanted the tank to be. I assure you, I will be making more of these with 12×12 CS, Deckled Rectangles and the Everyday Details dies in the near future, so stay tuned!
I had a couple different attempts at the hamster wheel too. Be sure to watch the video so you can see where my hamster wheel started as well. 😉
I’m really diggin’ our new In-Color Glimmer paper. It’s awesome! After a couple of tries, I decided I like the Pretty in Pink glimmer best for the background so I tweeked the design above. The design below is actually the one that I sent in.
Cute right?! I might be a bit biased since I’m a critter fanatic 😉

The card flattens out and fits perfect into an A2 envelope too (another challenge requirement.)
