Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a great week and are ready for an even better weekend! Unfortunately, I’ve had some sort of crud and am afraid my weekend plans are about to get cancelled. We were supposed to go to friends and have a “Tamale Making Day” tomorrow, but it’s not a good thing to make tamales if you’re sick and I certainly don’t want to spread the wealth via handmade food. It’s probably going to be a recliner, blanket and tea kind of weekend š
Enough of my pity party though. Let’s enjoy the nostalgia of Christmas Past. I’ve got a quick and elegant card for you that will send you the warm fuzzies of all that Christmas encompasses.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE the Christmas season. I have a lot of great Christmas memories from childhood and I am very grateful for them. I started with a Cherry Cobbler base and added one of the gorgeous Sentimental Christmas DSP layers to it after wrapping a piece of our gorgeous Cherry Cobbler and gold ribbon around the bottom of it. I die cut a banner out of Festive Glimmer paper using our Nested Essentials dies and adhered it to the top left corner. I stamped the greeting from the Christmas Labels bundle in Garden Green ink on a scrap piece of Basic Beige then die cut it using the same bundle. I popped it up on dimensionals on top of the banner.
I stamped a greeting on a piece of a Basic Beige and the card was finished. Easy Peasy!
This card is so simple and elegant. You can’t go wrong with this combination of products. Have a great weekend! And don’t forget to check back on Monday when we feature another sketch from page 22 of the Annual Catalog.
