Hello and happy Fri-YAY!!! Today I have a unique card that I haven’t seen out there. I’ve seen similar ones but not this one in particular so I’m calling it a Domed Bendi card. It’s not hard yet it has a cherished feel because the tree is behind the acetate giving it a “look, but please don’t touch” element.
I started with a piece of 4¼ x 5½ Thick Basic White scored at ⅜” from each side on the short side and in the middle at 2⅛. I added a piece of 3¼ x 5 7/16 piece of Snowfall Magic DSP that was scored at 1⅝”.
I stamped & die cut the tree & base using the Merriest Trees bundle. The decorations were cut out of Joyful Specialty DSP and dotted with Pearlized Enamel basics.
I added a tab that was 1½ x 2½ scored at ½” on each end to the center of the DSP. See pic below.
I added a second tab on top of the first one that was ¼ x 1½ scored at ¼, ½, 1 & 1¼ and popped the tree up on that. Please see below.
Then I took a 4¼ x 5½ Window Sheet scored at ⅜” from each side on the short side and placed it over the tree. I adhered it to the sides with Tear Tape.
I added 2 strips – ¼ x 5 7/16 of Snowflake Magic DSP to the sides of the window sheet. Then stamped and punched the sentiment using the Double Oval Punch.
A strip of DSP was added to the back and it was done!
In my humble opinion, the Snowflake Magic DSP is a MUST HAVE in every craft room this holiday season.
Enjoy! And as always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
