Hello there stampers! I hope you all survived the busiest shopping weekend of the year! I didn’t go out at all. We hung Christmas lights outside while the weather was good on Saturday. 🎅🎁🎄 It sure is nice to still have the temps comfortable in Illinois!
Today I have an easel card for you. I made these for a contest. This post is pic heavy but I wanted you to see all 3. I only sent the first one in and I kept the other two 🙂
First up is a standard easel. I made a little platform box (measurements below) to create a scene on.
The fence is glued on the back of the platform. The sleigh is colored with different Stampin’ Blends and stood up using small tabs glued on the back of the sleigh to the top of the platform. The glittered/puff painted snow is glued to the front of it.
Another of the same style in green.
The last card I made into a diagonal easel. It didn’t fold closed the way I’d hoped. The fence got in the way when I closed it (see the bent corner?), so I wouldn’t recommend the diagonal version if you’re going to replicate it.
I hope you enjoyed these. They were a labor of love. Anything country/barn/horse related really warms my soul so these cards were a real joy to make.
Here are the general instructions for the regular easel card:
Base: 4¼ x 11 scored at 2¾.
Platform cube is 4¼ x 4½ scored at 1, 2, 3, 4 on the 4½ side.
HAPPY SLEIGH RIDING STAMPING! 🎅🎁🎄
