‘Tis the season for lots and lots of gift cards and today, I’d like to share a gift card holder that I learned on our last We BEE Stamping Blog Hop from Karen Burke. It’s so easy and such a fun design.
Just take a piece of cardstock 4¼ x 10 and score it on the long side at 5″. Add Tear Tape to the top and bottom of the inside and stick it together then punch a notch on the right side. The slide measures 2¼ x 5½. You can round off the edge using our 2 3/8 circle punch by just sticking the end through the opening of the punch like so:
I punched a piece of 2 x 5¼ Basic White cardstock with our Snowflake Punch & adhered it on top of the green slider and my slide was finished.
I added a layer of 3¾ x 4½ Basic White on the front. I die-cut a piece of Real Red with the Lights Aglow Dies, wiped it with my embossing buddy, stamped “Merry Christmas” on it with Versamark, added white embossing powder from our Basics Embossing powders then set it with my heat tool. I threaded some Red ribbon from the combo pack through the die-cut and adhered it to the back of the Shining Christmas paper then added that entire layer on top of the Basic White layer.
All that was left was to stick my gift card on the slider (I just used a glue dot or two to do so) and it was finished. It fits nicely into an A2 envelope as well.
Fun & not too hard, right? That’s it for me today. Have a great weekend!
