November 2025 Stamping Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle Featuring Christmas Cards

I share my passion for stamps, ink & paper with a special flock of ladies called the “Stampin’ Stray Ducklings”. Whenever we’re together, feathers fly because of all the fun we have! Today, my feathered (or notsomuch! LOL) friends & I are featuring Christmas Cards. I was blessed to attend a “Stamp & Stay” weekend with this wonderful group of women this past weekend. We all design cards for each other to create. We provide all the pieces for the card in a basket or a “shoebox” and each of the participants puts them together. It’s tons of fun and we get lots of different samples to share that way. This was one of mine.

I love the quirky images in the Festive Friends bundle. I started with a piece of Cloud Cover cardstock. The front layer was made by stamping snowflakes in Balmy Blue ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock then running the piece through my Cut & Emboss (Big Bossy 😉 ) machine using the So Swirly embossing folder. I wrapped Shaded Spruce/Soft Sea Foam ribbon around it about 2/3 of the way down then adhered the panel to the card front. I made the tag using the patterned paper from the Everyday Happiness DSP because I thought it looked a bit like snow 😉 I added a torn piece of white cardstock to the bottom of the tag using the tag die cut. The adorable snowman was stamped in Memento ink then colored with my Stampin’ Blends and adhered to the tag using dimensionals. I topped the tag off with Shiny Real Red ribbon and tied it using the white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. My photo does not do the Shiny ribbon justice. It’s really… well… shiny! You’ve got to see it in person. A die cut snowflake from the Festive Friends dies with one of our adorable adhesive-backed peppermints in the center finishes off the card front nicely. I just needed a reason to use those peppermints! 😉
