Happy Monday from the Frozen Tundra of the Arctic! It’s been an extremely cold weekend around Norther Illinois recently. We had -40° wind chills this past weekend. This morning was -30°!!! Not fun! It’s hard enough just to keep the sidewalks/driveway cleared but when you have livestock, the water tanks freeze over (even with heaters in them!) and it’s just not fun to trek to the barn through 3 ft snow drifts. Now, I hear Canada had -60° wind chills. 😯 I don’t know how anyone does this on a regular basis and we only have 2 horses and 2 barn cats. Thank God I have a heated tack room where I can go to warm up. 40° in the tack room feels mighty good after being in those wind chills! That’s where the barn kitties stay when it’s this cold too- regardless of how much they want to be free to roam the barn! 🥶
So, onto my card for the day. This is one I made for a challenge. My upline, Linda Bauwin, offers us the opportunity to win product from her. If we opt in the challenge, she sends us a packet of goodies, we use the items to make cards and send back to her to be judged. This was one of six that I entered.
I have not bought the Hot Air Balloon or the Kiddin’ Around Bundle— yet 😉 but I love them both and this card is testimony to what you can do just having the paper. I love our papers! I do. I might be a tad biased, but to me Stampin’ Up! has the BEST paper on the market, always. I REALLY want the whole Kiddin’ Around Suite, but I don’t have human kids and I don’t have a lot of kids to send cards to so I’m trying to refrain. We’ll see how that goes over the next month or two! 😉 The paper is vibrant and fun and the die cuts have a castle!!! I mean, how cool is that?
