Hello there! The We Bee Stamping Team is excited to bring you more inspiration through our monthly Blog Hop. This month we’re featuring the Watercolor Techniques shown on pages 118-119 of the catalog. I’ll admit, this was stretching it for me. Now that we have all of our Stampin’ Blends, I rarely use anything else to color, but boy, am I glad we did! I LOVE how this card turned out!! Take a look.
I used Garden Green, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler (which are all found in the Watercolor Pencil Assortment 2 package) with a Blender Pen to color the hummingbird. You simply color with the pencils then go over your color lines with the Blender Pen. It smooths out the lines and gives your image a water colored look. And, did ya notice that paper? I took one look at the Full of Life Designer Series Paper and thought, “What the heck would I do with that?!” It ended up being PERFECT for this card! I love it when those happy coincidences work out!
And, to further enhance the beauty in this water coloring, I topped it off with some Wink of Stella.
Pretty, right?
I also colored around the edge of my sentiment using the Garden Green and Crushed Curry then blended the two with the Blender pen. And here are those tinsel gems close up. See the tiny pieces of tinsel in them?
And that cool design… it’s made with the Everyday Details dies.
