Good morning and welcome to the beginning of another week! Here in the Midwest it’s our last day of sweltering heat for a bit. The rest of the week looks glorious. My thoughts and prayers go out for those of you in Hurricane Debby’s wake though. I hope all of you, your loved ones and your animals are safe.
So, as a crafter, I have TONS of scraps. I assume you do as well. This technique helps us to use those scraps and put that pretty paper to good use. We made this card at our Shoebox Swap. It was designed by Kayla Clark and I assembled it at the event. For this card, we covered a 3″ square with ½” strips leaving a small space in between, then die cut it with one of our Deckled Circle Dies. The sky is really the limit though. You can vary the width of the strips, the spacing, the circle, etc. It’s a fun technique that I don’t think I’ve ever done until now.
The flower stems were made using the Lavender Dies. We added some Wink of Stella to them, a sentiment and a bow and it was complete.
Super easy, right? You can do it! I’d love to see your creations. Have a wonderful week!
