Hi friends! Did you have a good, long holiday weekend? We did. We were busy! I cleaned the barn on Friday to prepare for the hay we were getting on Saturday and let me tell you, this ol’ girl is way outta shape! I was sore come Friday night! Early Saturday morning, hubby and I rode our horses to the local sunflower field. It’s kind of a big deal around here every Summer. Our oldest horse, Sunny, is 27 and we wanted to get some good pictures of him there.
We had to hurry since we were having 147 bales of hay delivered at noon. We got pictures and scooted right on back home. Lemme tell you, moving hay is one of the hardest things about having horses. I’m still sore today. Did I mention how out of shape I am???!!! But a barn full of hay makes this horse mom VERY happy. 😉 😀
So, onto our card today. This is another swap card. It was designed by fellow Stamping Stray Duckling, Lynn Schmidt, but stamped and put together by yours truly.
I had the Fields in Bloom stamp set on my wish list, but I wasn’t 100% sure I “needed” 😉 it. This card sold me, and it is now part of my stash. LOL! The set is photopolymer so it’s easy to line up for layering the images. I love how Lynn added the sprig from the Flowers of Beauty dies and the little Petunia flowers with the pearl accents. This card was so much fun to make. You simply die cut the circle out of a piece of 4″x 5¼” White CS, stamp your image on the die-cut circle, then run the white outer layer through your embossing machine. I love the color it adds to the image by offsetting the circle. Such a subtle, eye-catching effect, don’t you think? I encourage you to try it 🙂
