Happiest Day Dragonfly Peekaboo Card & Weekend Retreat

Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was AWESOME!!! I got to hang out with my favorite stamping buddies, the Stamping Stray Ducklings, at our weekend retreat. Our weekend was full of lots of laughs, too much food and comradery. These women just fill my cup and I’m so glad God put them in my life. I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful group of uplifting women. Here’s a picture of all who attended.

We had a Hospitality suite that was connected to and close to all of our rooms. Let me tell you, we filled that room to the brim with paper, ink, food and drink! LOL! It was bustin’ at the seams, but it worked. We each made 2 projects to share- 1 for each day. The first day’s theme was fun folds or techniques. The second day was regular cards. We were to make one example then cut the pieces for everyone to make our card (we call this a “Shoebox Swap” because most people put their card pieces in one of those plastic shoebox-sized totes.) Wow, Wow, WOW!!! The projects were/are amazing and you are going to get to see many of them over the next few weeks because I’m going to share them here.

Today I’m sharing the “regular” card I designed. I call it a “Peekaboo” card since you can see through the hole in the front. It’s very similar to the one I posted in April that you can see HERE.

I featured the Happiest Day stamp set. It has such adorable images and I love the little dragonfly. To be honest, I have no idea who I would send this “Glitter in the Sun” sentiment to, but I had to use it. It’s cute! LOL Pairing it with the Glimmer paper makes it perfect! This card really seemed to be a hit at the retreat ✨

Open. I love those arrow corners. They’re a nice touch added to the set.
