Horsin' Around Stamping

February 2026 We Bee Stamping TEAM Blog Hop Featuring Blending Techniques from pages 128-129 of the Annual Catalog

February 1, 2026

Hello there! The We Bee Stamping Team is excited to bring you more inspiration through our monthly Blog Hop. This month we’re featuring the blending techniques found on pages 148 & 149 of Stampin’ Up’s annual catalog.

If you’ve followed me at all in the past, it’s no secret that Stampin’ Blends are by far my favorite blending product. I use the others but not nearly as much as I use our Stampin’ Blends. I love how they make coloring look so even and precise. The coloring lines blend together seamlessly to allow for shading.

I simply look at my image and decide where the shading would be (Stampin’ Up! leaves the guesswork out because their stamps usually indicate where the shading is 🙂 ) On this image it’s under the neck, eye, muzzle and back. Color those areas with your dark Blends then go over the whole image with the Light Blend Marker. Easy Peasy!

I’m always wanting “Galentines” sentiments since hubby and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s day. So, I made my own using the Reason to Celebrate stamp set with the Valentine’s saying by hanging the “V” over the edge of my ink pad and just inking up the rest of the letters.

Then I die-cut the “G” from the Mini Alphabet Dies and glued it in front of my stamped image. <3 Viola! just what I wanted 😉

I’m loving how this one turned out. I can’t wait to send this card to one of my trail riding buddies 🐎

Love how you changed the stamp to Galentine but most of all I love how you blended the colors on the horse. It looks so real.
