I share my passion for stamps, ink & paper with a special flock of ladies called the “Stampin’ Stray Ducklings”. Whenever we’re together, feathers fly because of all the fun we have! Today, my feathered (or notsomuch! LOL) friends & I are featuring Valentines, Love or Wedding Cards. I have a cute Valentine’s card for you that is perfect to send to just about anyone. Check it out.
I am super enamored by the Bee Mine Valentine Bundle. I’m sure it’s because whimsical stamps are my favorite 😉 To make this card, I started with a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock that measured 5½ x 6â…œ scored at 2â…› on the 6â…œ” side. I added a 1â…ž x 5¼ piece of the Bee Mine DSP to the flap. I made the beehive by die-cutting the dome from the Fluffiest Friends die-cuts, running it through the Cut & Emboss machine (“Big Bossy”;) ) inside the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder then punched the “doorway” using the neck of the Vintage Bottle punch.
I die-cut a banner using the Nested Essentials dies with the DSP. The bee was stamped using Daffodil Delight and Memento Black inks. Its wings were stamped on vellum using Petal Pink and Memento inks then I hurried and sprinkled our clear embossing powder on them before the ink dried and heat set them with my heat tool. I LOVE this effect. Linda Bauwin taught it to me and after making them this way, I prefer it over any other. It gives the wings a great translucent, shiny effect.
Just a simple and cute font inside wishing your recipient a Happy Valentine’s day. I finished the card off with some flowers from the Adhesive-back Hearts & Flowers embellishments. And that was it! Cute, right?!
