2/3/23 Blog Post updated to add Video Tutorial 🙂 Scroll down.
Hello friends,
Boy, do I have an extra-special card for you today. It’s another one I learned from Nancy Legate during our Monday night Mystery Stamping. I believe she called it a Double Door Pop-Up card. It’s super cute and super fun to make. Being that I’m a country girl, I immediately paired this creative fold with our new Day at the Farm Sale-A-Bration DSP and our On the Farm bundle and set forth to make a barn for all of those new critters 🙂
Like my previous card, this card was part of a challenge with my upline, Linda Bauwin. I love that Linda does this for us. It really pushes me to go above and beyond with my cards.
On this particular card, Linda sent the Dry Brushed Metallic DSP that I embossed with the Stripes embossing folder then used as a “tin roof” on my barn. She also sent the Flat Opals that I used as “eggs” from my feathered friends at the barn 😉
When you lift the roof of this card, the doors open automatically. If you push the roof down, the card closes. Check out the video below. It’s such an awesome design!
As it opens you see a cow eating hay and a duck with her egg inside. All of the animals were die-cut with my On the Farm dies directly out of the Day at the Farm DSP that I earned FREE with my $50 order for Sale-A-Bration. I used the dies alone for the duck and the goose then colored their beaks and feet with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin Write marker.
I die-cut a sow and her piglet and a windmill for the back of the card and finished it off with the adorable Loose Daisy embellishments (which are flat for easy mailing). I might be a bit smitten by that cute foil windmill too, LOL! 😉
And just so you can see how it opens/closes:
So, what do ya think? Super fun, right? I simply cannot wait to make more of these!

And there ya have it! That’s it for me today. I hope you have a wonderful day and don’t forget to take some time out to do something you love.
HAPPY STAMPING!

Can you tell us how you made the creative fold that opens the doors? Or does the fold have a name? I have watched the short video but that doesn’t show me how to make it.Thank you.
