Did ya notice the sketches on page 22 of our 2024-2025 Annual Catalog? For the next 22 weeks we will be visiting one of the sketches each week. Today is sketch #1. The pic below is poor quality because the sketch itself on the page is tiny. I zoomed it so you could see it.
Stampin’ Up provided no measurements. It’s up for individual interpretation 😉 . Here’s my version.
I started by choosing a piece of Designer Series Paper that I wanted to use as my focal point. I dug out my Splendid Autumn paper pack and chose this pretty, red-filled path piece. I cut it down to 3 x 3¾”. Then I chose a more muted piece (the backs of the images in this pack are complimentary) and cut it down to 3¼ x 3¼”. I layered those two on a Cherry Cobbler card base measuring 5½ x 8½” and scored it at 4¼”. I stamped the sentiment from Autumn Expressions in Calypso Coral ink onto Basic white CS then die-cut it using the Iconic Imagery dies. I stamped the leaf image from Iconic Imagery using versamark ink onto scraps of Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze CS then die-cut them also using Iconic Imagery dies. I took 10″ of the absolutely gorgeous Cherry Cobbler and Gold Satin ribbon and folded it behind the sentiment. I finished the front of the card off by gluing the leaves down. Now, I don’t know about you, but I love that this card is a non-traditional Fall color. I almost always use golds, browns & orange colors for my Autumn cards. This one feels so rich to me. 🍁
I stamped two leaves- one full strength and the other without reinking- in Calypso Coral ink onto a simple Basic white 4 x5 ¼” layer and adhered it inside. Viola! Finito! 🙂
Your turn! I’d love to see what you create!
